DEFE24 1975 01/05/1996 grampian kinloss report   22h20 bright white light with orange and red around it moving very fast no sound came from the object indoors home naked eye flow over house to a hill about 12/2 a mile away then disappeared actual sighting lasted 6 7 secs fairly low in sky up to half a mile away flow in straight line over hill still clear frosty night there is a loch near and the hill three other witnesses, 2/5 grampian news had an article about meteorite activity the west coast

He signalled at the light with his torch and the UFO signalled back by flashing on and off. “He was reluctant to give his name and address and assumed the call had been intercepted”. one bright orange light which did not move it lit upthe clouds alton abrnes south of swindon binoculars south east of alton barnes   40% cloud cover cold signalled with his torch the ufo signalled back flashed on and off, other witness a friend
DEFE24 1975 02/04/1996 a1 30 mile south of edinburgh   20h40 two orange red coloured circular lights in the sky one on top of the other. They appeared to be flying at the height of an airliner they shot across the sky in a westerly direction but i would say their speed was at least eight time faster than a normal jet. i pulled into a lyby my car to watch these objects after i had parked up i noticed one of the objects had disappeared the other appeared to be heovering i couldn't understand how it had to come to stop so quickly due to the speed it travelled across the sky.the obejct then began to moves slowly southwards and the whole thing was flashing in and out. i watched it until it disappeared out of sight, sky was clear and the weather was fine
DEFE24 1975 19/03/1996 anniesland victoria park london     object light formation moving slowly anniesland direction and was constant in height estimated 200 400 feet , then clos to victoria park became stationary form a of a christmas tree remained there for 1 to 2 mins, also seen another smaller object appear form ground level, this object rose from behind some buildings  was of definiti triangular shpe small in size it had low power white lights also triuangular within the defined shape of the object it tehn moved vertically and travelled horizontally a very short distance est 100 yards and proceeded to merge into one of the corners of the light formation and was then nolonger visible when the three lights extinguished

They appeared to be attached to a large object with 10-20 steady lights shaped like a clock-face. The family were very frightened. not seen clairly but very large tennis court or bigger with 20 or more red lioghts a in perfect circle as viewed no sound at all driving toawrds brecon from north east 1 mile from brecon town centre naked eye from right north slowly moving towards car driver stopped ujntil object was very low a few yards about the car and then ? Drove off object took  10 mins to approach very  slow approach form right uintil over stationary car good clear weather two children.; xx had been concerned about this sighting since it happened as was put in touche with us via a friend

DEFE24 1975 25/02/1996 llanrhystud dyfed   22h00 22h15 xx and his daughter driving form aberystwyth on the a487 raods  about hald wat between blaenplwyf and llanrhystud saw a large pale whitesih light in the 11 oc lock position at an angle o f3 0 45 deg form the horizontal. The light was diffused or watered down and most unusual. it moved slowly form left to right across their path.shortly afterwards several white lights appeared form the area of the first sighting and procedeed to approach the car passing over it very very low skimmed the car form right to left.theses appeared to become an elliptical white light behind hills to the left of them whoch eventually went out. as the lights crossed the car the observers were looking up at perhaps an angle of 80 deg. xx xseemed a very sensible and responsaible person who does not believe in ufops howevber neither she nor her daughter have ever seen anything like this before and if have no explanation they would be interested to know.the weather was cloudy at the time

Later air traffic radar saw contacts on radar which they decided were caused by atmospheric conditions - nothing of defence concern.single brigh white light indoors and outdoors swinderby naked ey eand night vision goggles stationary towards the south of newark 25 30 deg no more than  7 miles away no change clear initially then cloudy strong wind initially air trafiifc control at waddington reported thath they could not see anything on primary or secondary radar later at about 19830 air traffic reported that they could see what they consider to be anoinymous propagation visible on the radar in the area that xxx repoerted his sighting. these were of an intermittent nature and speed and would not indicate primary radar contacts these and props werre eviedent eslsewhere on the radar. xxx was not informed of this occurence

One object 4 times b747 oval long oval dark shape light arc lights round very very bright crackling sound after no sound, no smell electric feeling in air had observer feel unconfortable heavy static haywards heath indoors  stationary naked eye towards ditchling beacon south west 10 deg   steady rose steadily all lights went out and object vanished air cleaner afterwards less static clear mothers adress, observer felt frightened and uneasy when object gone observer felt something definite and had gone feeling of presence

DEFE24 1976 15/07/1996 Widnes, Cheshire    2h30 UFO seen over cemetery - Widnes, Cheshire 15/7/96: young man returning home at 2am saw a bright yellow object hovering and broke into a run. Light hovered over cemetery and high pitched sound like a cat wailing was heard as beams of light came down, striking the ground. On returning to cemetery with his father, they found four railway sleepers smouldering, with a large hole burnt through one of the sleepers.

DEFE24 1976 05/06/1996 tottenham 06h00 she was phoning on behalf of her mother who observed a strange sighting above her house on wed 5 jun at 0600hrs , her mother libves in the tottenham area and described the sighting as a big square thing which looked like a psaceship and like a massive chimney .it was ark blu and had  3 flashing lights underneath it.it hovered there for  10 minutes and then disappaered when she wentt to took for it 10 minutes later

contact navette ? 23h00 a group of people witnessed what  they initially thought was the mir station apssiong above them in a ne direction howvere these people then saw an object of the same density and altitude moving in the opposite sw direction, these objects passes each other in close proximity then came to a stop. t this time two other objects one from the east the other form the west approached the two original objects and also came to a stop. these people observed these objects for about a minute before the objects dipsersed in varying directions. i have since been in contact with newscatsle airpot teeside airpot and raf leeming in an effort to confirm air traffic at that time.each agency have confirmed that  no air traffic was in that area at that time. because of the seemingly high altitude of these objects i also contacted rad fylindale for a possible explanation, they too had no record or knowledke of the incident

DEFE24 1977 20/12/1996 perth en vol 17h36 at least  2 minutes Scotland, 20/12/96 - bright light seen by pilot & crew of aircraft near Perth. Nothing seen on radar. RAF investigation suggested possible “optical illusion”. 30 miles south west of perth from cockpit of aircraft almost due east of the aircraft inb the 2 oc clock position  initially 5 10 deg below then climbing almost level believed to be nerer than 5 miles then closing to possibly  2 miles from first sighting in the 2 o clock position turning towards the observer  staying in the relative position of hal past three bright light disappeared leaving a dimmed white light as object turned south behind the observer wintenss pilot captain  of flight galsgwo to aberdeen and crew member

DEFE24 1977 13/12/1996 humberside international airport a18 kirmington grimsby   17h05 looks like a star with blue orange yellow white and green light around it, still flashing now, further call, light still in the sky although it appears to have moved it is now in a different position there has been 20 30 what look like shootings stars around the light. there is one main object and lots of lflahsing lights which are lots of different colours. when first seen object was quite low in the sky and baove the roof of the bungalow, the object hs moved towards the right across the sky it look like it is above kirmington arport, looking with naked eye, witness had no camera. first seen in easterly direction, at 1 2 miles , object moving slowly although there are bright white lights shooting off the main light. sky is very clear no clouds , now pitch black and are stars in sky informant said jhe is not a nutter and contacted humberside airport they stated it was not an helicopter

DEFE24 1977 30/11/1996 leeds 28 19h25 8 10 secs two separate occasions second sighting 5 minutes later  one oval or spherical in shape no smell no sound, a very bright white mass of light very large in sizemuch bigger than a large aeroplane hovering low with bright light shimmering all around it rear garden leeds outdoors facing south naked eye to the south object very low in the sky 4 5 miles travelled south to north after firts sighting he went indoors than a few mlinutes later came back in garden and agin he saw this massive oval shimmering light in the position first saw againt it passed over him at great speed and then simply disappeared dark cloudy and calm witness retired police constable sober not medication at the time, sound mind and body

DEFE24 1977 05/10/1996 skegness boston lincolnshire schema + video non dispo 02h14 03h45 statioinary and generally red green white flashing lights toi the south east at about 40 45 deg, the lights were observed by skegness and boston police, similar lights were observed form the mv  8 miles eses of skegness , captured on video , result poor quality boston stump boston church spire is known in aviation circles as the boston stump and appears occasionnaly on some radars in certain radar propagation conditions lights in the wash area were observed form three separate locations high above the horizon and in the same general direction buth without corroborating radar data Boston/Skegness UFOs, 5/10/96: mysterious lights sighted by police patrols and captured on video. Police alerted Yarmouth coastguard who put out a call to shipping in the Wash. Subsequently lights also seen by the crew of MV Conocast tanker. At this time radars at RAF Neatishead in Norfolk detected an unidentified object on radar over Boston in Lincolnshire. Transcript of Coastguard/Police conversation at pgs 234-238,  report by RAF Air Defence staff dated 7/10/96 on ‘Unusual Air Phenomena’ concludes lights seen were celestial objects and the UFO on radar caused by tower of Boston Stump - a tall spire that creates a ‘permanent echo’ on radar. This was only regarded as unusual because it was visible on radar when the police  and coastguard reported seeing UFOs at the same time & place.
DEFE24 1977 21/09/1996 a14 houghton st ives   23h40 half mile before conington saw two red lights in sky at first couple think lights might be fireworks these were had seen earlier in the evening, however these were seen in a different direction, couple investigate , lights had disappeared behind a hill ans as the lane was very dark they decide to tuen, but on turning back home  a very brighht light suddenly appeared behind them lightining up the inside of the car. there were disconcerted and left the area in a hurry
